Question: Your books take place in different historical periods. Do you favor one over the other?

LS: My writing spans from the Tudor era to the present. It’s unlikely that I will stay within one specific era since it is the story that inspires me, more than the setting.

Question: Are you a plotter or a pantser?

LS: Definitely a plotter. I don’t start writing until I have the story from beginning to end. The process is maddening, though. It’s a constant quest for “what if” and “what then?”
